Wake Up, Ali… Wake Up Now utilizes an archetypal migration story, told through recognizable migrant characters, to highlight a theme that is most relevant today―in a world where we all face unrelenting pressures to strive and succeed, we are all migrants and rootless in some way, both at the material and spiritual level. After all, what more can men do when faced with the death of their self-image? Or are they capacitated to re-invent a new free self-image for them?

This book is a story of human beings. It is an attempt to look at how humans lead their lives. The dilemmas, values, and worldviews they live with. How they are involved in the creation and destruction of their own society and nation. I have tried perceiving this entire process by relating my life with the gradual evolution process of my nation.
